There is no need for short haul trucks to belch diesel exhaust and damage people’s health.  Ikea is among the responsible companies providing it.

Ikea will soon have containers of imports hauled from the Port of Los Angeles to a logistics yard using all-electric trucks produced by TransPower. These zero emissions trucks, with a range of 100 miles, may later be used to truck the containers from the logistics yard to their four LA-area stores.
