Coalition For A Safe Environment sues EPA for failing to protect the public health from toxic air pollution

Coalition For A Safe Environment (CFACE) and 8 other community-based environmental and public health organizations, represented by Earthjustice, filed suit late last week against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) for violating the Clean Air Act by missing legally required deadlines to protect public health from toxic air pollution.

The Coalition For A Safe Environment and Earthjustice are Moving Forward Network members.

Organizations from four states are involved.  In addition to CFASE, EPA is being sued by California Communities Against Toxics, Californians Against Waste Foundation, Del Amo Action Committee, Desert Citizens Against Pollution, Louisiana Bucket Brigade, Louisiana Environmental Action Network, Neighbors for Clean Air, and Ohio Citizen Action.
