Barrio Logan threatened by Port of San Diego expansion plans

Barrio Logan is an overburdened working class community adjacent to the Port of San Diego. Barrio Logan residents suffered a defeat last year when their community plan to reduce air pollution and other negative effects of industrial uses was defeated in a referendum.

They now face a new threat – a proposal to expand a marine terminal and increase its cargo capacity by as much as 500 percent.
