The other shoe drops – bill passes to expedite energy exports from the US to China

It is no surprise, but a disappointment to see the US Congress take the next step in exporting its energy reserves to China and elsewhere.

As we reported last August in ALEC joins forces with the Peoples Republic of China-owned firm to Enable Export of US Fracked Shale Gas and Oil, the supposedly conservative American Legislative Exchange Council teamed with Chinese interests to ease constraints on exports of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), even as the Chinese launched an initiative to build a new canal across Nicaragua wide and deep enough to handle new mega gas carriers to take the precious US fuel reserves to China.
