Deadline extended for comments on the Federal Interagency Action Agenda on Environmental Justice – Webinar October 13


The EPA and its partner agencies are putting new focus on the Federal Interagency Working Group on Environmental Justice (EJ IWG), and have invited the public to comment on their draft three year strategic plan.

The EPA has extended the public comment period to October 19 and scheduled another webinar for October 13.  If you or your organization haven’t gotten involved, this is an excellent opportunity to influence how EJ works in the Federal government.

Public Comment Extended – Additional Webinar Scheduled

The Federal Interagency Working Group on Environmental Justice (EJ IWG) wants to hear from you about its draft FY 2016-2018 Action Agenda Framework. The Framework is the EJ IWG’s three year strategic plan to advance greater Federal agency collaboration to support holistic community-based solutions to address environmental justice issues in environmental protection, housing, transportation, economic development, energy policy, natural and cultural resources management and health disparities.

Participate in a Webinar: In addition to the public comment period, the EJ IWG is hosting an additional national webinar about the draft Framework. Audiences are encouraged to participate and may request additional informational sessions if needed. Participation in the webinar is not required to submit comments.
