Kansas City citizens’ group asked BNSF to stop polluting their neighborhoods

The Argentine/Gardner Good Neighbor Committee and Diesel Health Project’s requests of BNSF for Zero Emissions from their Kansas City, Kansas Argentine Rail Yard into the community were wonderfully covered last week by the local CBS affiliate, KCTV5 in this video segment.
The Diesel Health Project is a member of the Moving Forward Network (MFN), formed with the inspiration and encouragement of other MFN members.
Late Sunday, the outstanding medical reporter Alan Bavley of the Kansas City Star wrote a very comprehensive front page news article on the health risks posted by the BNSF locomotive maintenance facility, and the groups’ efforts to get them to take responsibility for the air pollution they are dumping on their neighbors.
